Safety

Safety in numbers.

At CEI, safety is a core value.  We conduct all operations with the utmost regard for the safety of our employees, our customers, the public and the environment. Our end goal is to complete all projects incident-and injury-free.  This helps to ensure both overall safety and projects that are fulfilled without costly, injury-related delays.

CEI is the number one specialty contractor in California when it comes to safety, and have been awarded the Associated General Contractors of California (AGC) “Safety Award of Excellence” for specialty contractors working more than 1 million hours in 2010.

Our commitment to safety begins with our employees, who undergo thorough safety orientation sessions prior to each job.  We then develop site-specific safety plans, which employees review and sign each day. In addition, we regularly evaluate our own safety performance, to ensure that we continually meet or exceed all safety, health and environmental regulations.

Through open lines of communication and continuously improving safety practices, CEI’s recordable injury rate is more than two times lower than industry-wide rates for electrical contractors working in California and across the nation.  Despite expanding into new markets with new employees in recent years, CEI’s intense focus on safety remains constant.
